CAUT Town Hall Series

Throughout April, May and June 2020, CAUT offered a town hall series on COVID-19 and the Academic Job.  The series began with a high-level discussion of the impacts of the pandemic, discussing the possible transformative effects. Other topics included:

• intellectual property and privacy issues associated with the move to emergency remote teaching;
• a conversation on research with the tri-council agencies;
• organizing for shared governance;
• the unique impacts on contract academic staff; and,
• systemic racism in the academy.
